Such an exceptional breed needs exceptional food, and Superior Care is ready to offer it.

Importance of Superior Care Dry Food

Superior Care dry food improves the balance of intestinal microflora. The content of highly digestible protein, prebiotics, and optimal amounts of fiber improves the digestive system. But this is not the only advantage of this food.

Superior Care white dog food also supports the health of the dog's immune system. Balanced prebiotic content and a complex of vitamins and minerals help maintain a healthy immune system. This brand cares for you as well. You can buy as many products as you need and not be afraid about how much they cost and how long their delivery takes.

Nature's Protection white dog food helps support the healthy skin and coat of your pup. Balanced Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids support healthy skin and coat.

You can choose the flavor based on your pet's needs from a vast brand catalog in the Superior Care online store:

  • Lamb meat. It has a high nutritional value due to its special chemical composition. Lamb meat brings significant benefits to the whole body of the pet because it's rich in essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, like zinc, iodine, and sulfur. Zinc in lamb meat has a favorable effect on the pet's immune system.
  • Salmon meat. It's characterized by a high protein content, low fat, and no carbs. It contains niacin (vitamin B3, PP). This substance has a beneficial effect on the circulatory, nervous, and digestive systems of your pet. It also normalizes metabolism and hormonal balance. Salmon is rich in vitamins B5, B6, B2, B1, and many others. Among macronutrients - potassium, and phosphorus are the leading ones; they are known to be essential for the functioning of the cardiovascular system, muscle tissue development, and brain function.
  • Insects. Insect protein is rich in amino acids and an excellent source of taurine and vitamins. Insects are nutritious: they consist of an average of 70% protein. The production of insect raw materials emits up to 98% fewer greenhouse gasses than the processing of animal products.
  • Whitefish. It provides a high-quality protein source, which is essential for muscle development, tissue repair, and overall growth in dogs. Whitefish also contains various vitamins and minerals, including B vitamins, selenium, potassium, and phosphorus, contributing to the dog's overall health and well-being.

When you order food and treats from SuperiorCare.Pet for a reasonable price and add some skin and coat care products to your cart, you can be sure your pet will feel perfectly healthy, as 80% of nutrition and 20% of care is a functional formula for a healthy pup.

Transitioning to Superior Care Dry Food

The Japanese spitz has a good appetite, so it can easily eat more than it needs. At the same time, these animals often suffer from malnutrition if their daily food allowance is too small. To ensure that the pet gets the right amount of food, owners must follow two rules: correct portion sizes and always serving food on a set schedule. Proper nutrition is good for the dog's GI tract, so it will have an appetite when it's time to eat.

The frequency of meals and portion size depend on the age of the pet. When the puppy is young, it needs to be fed frequently because its growing body requires constant support. As the puppy grows, the number of meals is reduced while increasing the portion size. After a small spitz puppy is in the house, it's necessary to adhere to the following feeding schedule:

  • for a week, adhere to the menu and feeding regimen established by the breeder so that your baby dog can more easily survive the stress of separation from the mother and adapt to the new conditions;
  • after a week, you can gradually transfer the pet to the chosen type of food (dry or natural), while continuing to observe the daily portion size and frequency of feeding;
  • a 3–4 month-old puppy is mature enough to be fed 3–4 small meals a day;
  • 5–6 month-old puppies should be fed no more than 3 times a day;
  • after the dog is 12 months old, it can be fed 1–2 times a day because it's considered an adult.

One meal a day is enough for these dogs, but it's difficult for the owners to refrain from treating the pet, especially if the family gathers at the dinner table more than once a day. To avoid the pet's obesity, you can divide the daily food allowance into two meals, so the dog will show less interest in the delicious-smelling food on your table.
